Hi guys there last night on eBay i won a tablet that i have been after for a while. What happened was i paid him right away witch was i think 290 euros. Then i logged on to eBay later and he had sent a message to me saying that he won't post to Ireland (HE said he did and i paid how much it was to post to ireland). He also said he was looking for more money for the item. So he was going to put it up again.

He later refunded me the money for the tablet and sent me a message for me to cancel the buying the item.

Basically what can i do or say to eBay about this ?.

You can report it as an inaccurate item listing (The shipping to Ireland), at the least. I suspect they'd be quite interested in the attempt to get more money too - he obviously wasn't willing to pay for a reserve (4% of the reserve) and avoiding fees is something eBay clearly dislike.

You could ask to post to Parcel Motel if you really wanted it or as said above report to ebay and leave negative feedback.

Have left negative feedback and reported him to eBay as he broke there sales rules or something as all sales are post to be final on eBay.

The seller sent me another message after i reported him to eBay there saying he reported me to eBay as i didn't cancel it for him and that he dosint even won't to sell the tablet now. Said he changed his mind after the bidding ended and he wonts to keep it.

I hate complete time wasters like that on eBay and adverts you agree to buy something and they change there minds at the very last min

Have left negative feedback and reported him to eBay
Always carefully think out your negative feedback, people will just half ignore ranting feedback. You have limited characters you can put down so use them wisely.

Some lad screwed me over on concert tickets and put them back up for sale again. I left detailed feedback which appeared to really ruin his business, he was a full time ticket seller and sold other house furnishings. I checked months later and you could see he had a huge drop in sales after leaving negative feeback -which I do think had a something to do with it -especially for people looking at getting tickets, I know I would have avoided him if I read my feedback.

He is miffed because he will still have to pay 10% to ebay in fees!

Bought another tablet there on eBay the other night.

Went to pay for the tablet the next day seen i had a email on eBay.

Please can you accept to cancel the buy as i needed the money asap and sold to another person.

    thanks.

Thats two times in a row that a seller has refused to sell me a item they where selling .....

You really got to wonder about eBay don't you ?. Its worse then adverts for selling things

It seems to happen with high value items. I wonder do they get a price for an item in one of those highstreet trade in stores. Place the item on ebay to see if they get higher and when they don't they bring it to the trade in store.

Pretty sad that you revisited to assess his apparent fall off in business and even sadder that you felt it was your doing. Proper Meldrew stuff.

He screwed over 2 friends I was bidding on behalf for, left us with no time to get other tickets. I revisited to see if he was still selling anything, to see if others were also stung, to see if ebay had possibly removed him. I think it quite odd that you would consider that sad.

Have you ever put in a complaint in any form? and had you no interest at all about what happened due to it, especially if that information was very easily accessible in privacy?

    How exactly?
If a seller is going to feck over a consumer then they have to be aware it can potentially affect their business. The sellers know customers can leave feedback.
