I'm really struggling to find a summer job with such little work experience, does anyone know anywhere that honestly considers hiring people around 16/17 for the summer/part time?

Retail is at its quietest during the summer no need for extra staff. Also by the time you've become halfway useful you're leaving.

Don't let on it's for the summer. Ideally get a job you can keep doing a few hours a week until your final year in college.

You're probably better off volunteering this summer, it'll be easier to get something once you're over 18 and volunteering will look good on the CV.

There are two pubs on the south side who were looking for staff you could try, Goldbergs or The Silver Quay

There is a tennis crowd in Cork that do camps for the kids in the summer. They hire new people every year.
