Last Social Welfare Payment

    I got a phone call on Friday to offer me a job starting this week. Unfortunately I wasn't able to contact my social welfare office on Friday and they are closed until tomorrow.

    I was wondering how is my final payment arranged? It's due to be in the post office tomorrow and I'm not sure if I'll be able to collect it.

    Thanks for replying so quickly. Do you know if it takes long to get your final payment?

    Would it be ok if I tired to get to the post office to collect my payment before I start work and then close my claim? I won't be paid for a week or two and need to purchase bus tickets, etc. and am quite short on money at the moment.
