with all this rain after falling, i'm considering bring back in the yearlings off some of my softer ground there ploughing it up, especially since its been spilt into paddocks, any one else thinking of doing the same for a few days

Brought in some sucklers yesterday. I need to stretch the grazing rotation a bit and thought it was the ideal solution. I'm in no panic for a few days to let them back out.

Calves are back in and will stay in until the weather improves as well as the few cows that we have for multi suckling.
3 groups of yearling bulls have access to bedded sheds if they want. 2 of the groups haven't bothered to come in but a group of 40 stayed in last night and tonight probably due to the fact that the field they are in has no shelter from South Westerly winds.

Well i chanced leaving them out after, and with yesterday been dry they did not do too much harm but after the rain last night and this morning i am going to bring them in, there just turning the grass black from walking it into the ground.
will let them out again later in the week when it soaks a bit

Left the 35 cattle back out yesterday. Top dressed about 12 acres of grazing ground with 15 units of N/acre and about another 6 at 30 units of N/acre. Expect grass covers to be ok will continue to monitor.
