Natural Gas Double Ovens

    Hi folks,

Am in the market at the moment for a new eye-level / under counter double oven, my current one is a "Stove" natural gas double oven with a natural gas grill. To my surprise after visiting all the major home appliance retailers in Dublin I discovered that the vast majority of double ovens are now electric. "New World" make is pretty much the only option I have for a natural gas double oven.

Has anyone else had this issue or is everyone using electric ovens now? Personally speaking I'm not too fond of getting an electric oven due to, maybe my own, perceived running electric costs. Using electric to heat anything costs a fortune (again maybe my own incorrect opinion).

Another option I have is keeping what I have but its well used and the knobs paint has come off, the grill spark clicker thingy?!? keeps clicking when the grills already lit. Is there a company that completely "renews" old gas ovens?

I know that Google is your friend for these queries but getting personal experiences from people is a lot more beneficial.

    Hopefully someone can help :)

had the same situation a couple of years ago. MasterCare in Killester may have the solution if you want repair or replacement. Got a gas double oven there - they get shop soiled / old stock and sell it on. Good luck.
