Problem getting Sky + box to be set up as UK box

    Hi,
    I hope you can help.
    I recently stopped my Sky subscription to move to UPC for a better deal.

    I still have my sky + box connected to the tv. I was of the understanding that if I removed my Sky card and disconnected the power from my box, when I would go to power it back up, I would have a UK version of the EPG showing BBC1 as 101, BBC2 as 102 etc etc.

    However I still have RTE1 as 101, RTE2 as 102 etc etc with message asking me to put my viewing card back in the box.

    Am I doing the correct steps to have it set up as a UK FTA box?

    If it is an hd box I dont think it works. If not I recall removing the plug from the wall for a few minutes (with card out) and rebooting. Should be UK then. As i said, I am not aware the hd boxes work for this. Maybe an expert has worked it out since I last attempted it.

    If it is a sky hd box you will need a UK card, 5euro on adverts.
