Oven issue

I've got an Indesit single oven with fan.

It's relatively new, 2-3 years at most.

I don't know if it's always been like this, but the door that opens is very hot at the top (when closed). To the extent that you cant keep your finger on it for more than a second.

Can someone tell me if this is regular behaviour?

there must be failure of the cooling fan or the stat located in the top of the unit

The fan seems to be spinning and blowing ok.

I did notice a slight gap at the top of the door where air seems to be escaping. Is this normal? Or should the door jam shut fully ?

you cannot see the cooling fan without removing the top panel of the oven, if hot air is escaping out of the oven either the hinge is out of place where it fits into the oven or the springs in the hinge are gone weak
