Fetac level 5 major award with level 4 components

    I have a fetac level 5 major award which I completed in 2008. I did eight components and my results are all distinctions, but two of the components are level 4.
    I applied for third level and I am unsure if I'm eligible as I don't know if my award is worth 120 credits. I can't understand why they gave me a major level 5 award with level 4 components.
    I have contacted the I.T I applied to but they referred me to the webpage which doesn't have the info im looking for.
    The guidance councilor for the I.T thinks I'm not eligible.
    The Fetac coordinator where I completed my award says I am eligible, and I am awaiting response from CAO and Fetac. Can anyone please advise me. Thanks.

    Do you have a certificate that says FETAC Level 5 Major award award in _________ ??

    If you have that it doesn't matter what modules it comprises of, as FETAC believed all those modules combined equaled a major award. It wouldn't stand in a university but in an IT it will. Check your cert.

    It was a level 5 Hairdressing course

    I don't have the cert anymore as I misplaced it so I only have the transcript of awards which says its a major award in level 5 hairdressing. With the new CAS system in place for Fetac im unsure if I have 120 credits? Thanks
