Hi I have been on sick leave from work since October suffering from stress and anxiety. I just feel I can't go back there between not being happy in the work place and too much happening in my personal life has left me feeling very anxious stressed mixed emotions and feeling very inconfident. I been sending in my certs but it's not enough they keep ringing me and sending letters wanting to know when I am coming back I just don't know what to tell them it's hard enough talking about it let alone telling them I'm not ready and on top of that. i recently found out that I am pregnant which I am delighted about but I'm just so afraid to tell work that one I'm not ready nor do I know do I want to go bk there and two that I'm pregnant, is there any way I can hand my notice and still have some bit of a Income coming in and that way I can focus on getting my mental health bk to normal and enjoy my pregnancy.

Gemma, please stop posting the same thread repeatedly- I've deleted 4 duplicate threads. Posters will answer on the original thread.

ya Gemma we all have that weird feeling when we have to take back from the "economy", but u can't be responsibil for coruuprt country, nor can most of us,

i can't tell u what support network is there but it is there, in irelamd,

mind yourself and take care :)

i went through a similar situation but out in germany and i was the papa but i understand the stress ur feeling.

One thing it might be worth also looking at before going down the illness benefit road is your maternity benefit and the eligibility for that. I don't know the ins and outs but just something to be mindful of, last thing you want is for baby to be born and to be left with no income then.
