Repairing bathroom tap

    Hi there

This morning when going for a shower the water was going out the section of the tap unit for filling the bath and not through the shower hose.

The 'valve stopper' between the two taps was in the up position for the water to go through the shower hose.

Can this unit be repaired or would a new unit be required?

    Thanks

    Ray

Leaving the taps turned off, lift the selector knob and with a grips or a small adjustable spanner unscrew and remove the piece that goes into the tap.
There is a rubber O ring on the selector when you get it out, most likely it's torn.
Just get a similar O ring in a hardware or plumbing suppliers, fit it into place and put it all back together.
