Is it possible to back up MP3 files from a PC to a camcorder using a firewire lead? Copy these files from the hard disk to MiniDV tapes. Is this possible and practical to do.

It might be but you might have to have a blank video track as well for the camcorder to import the audio. A more pertinent (and cheeky) question is why the hell would you want to! :P

    It's possible...

but Mordeiths question still applies - why??

In the long term, I'd have more faith in being able to read data from an archive grade DVD than a mini dv Taope
