    Hi all,

Got a call today about a new basestation being built that will allow us to connect to Digiwebs Metro service.

I'm very tempted. However, having a 30mb connection with a 100GB cap seems to me to be a little unfair.

I wouldnt be bothered downloading torrents etc, however, we all like to stream content from Netflix and shared libaries on Plex. It would open up the possiblitly of me watching football on the ipad etc,

Any of you guys using this package got any thoughts? I would hate to use the interent less because the connection while faster has tempted us into using everyday applications that eat data. It is something of a curates egg I suspect.

I have had this service for 6 months and it has been fantastic. I use it on the north side of Cork city. the mast is about 6Km away I would think . line of sight to Cork Airport. Averaging 18mbps, 800kbps upload. Will drop to 10mbps at heavy evening and weekends, however at 3am will give 28mbps.

Averaging ping time is great at 15ms and data loss is quite minimal. Never seen above 1%.

I have two in the house, two iPhones, 2 computers with no torrents, and about 2 hours of netflix per day and we hit 80GB a month.

So not much room to be genuinely honest. I have heard from one of the installers that they will up this to 120GB at any moment though.

    Hope that helps.

Overall, it is a great service, and very reliable. Even at the low 10mbps you can stream 4 or 5 Netflix streams at once....
