Me and the hubby are off to Barcelona for the first time in August for 10 days.

would anyone have any good recommendations on what to see or do while we are there. We both love our wines and hoping to do a winery tour and love our food so if anyone knows of any good markets or restaurants to check out would be terrific.

From the port do they do any boat trips. we haven't booked on a package deal so haven't heard of any trips at all.

    Thanks in advance!!

Pick pockets are everywhere in Barcelona on public transport and they are extremely skilled at it. If you are carrying handbag/shoulder bags be sure to keep all your phones/wallets in them preferably key locked (you can buy small locks for a few euro). My wifes phone was stolen from her shoulder bag (that was latched closed) within two minutes of her checking on it.

Aside from that Barcelona is beautiful and we had a great time.

    Park Guell
Passeig de Gracia - shopaholics and architecture fans
Basilica of the Sagrada Familia - stunning Gaudi church
    Las Ramblas
Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria - food markets/fresh produce
    Camp Nou
