Painting bare concrete blocks

Old house I'm renovating has a basement with the blocks exposed. I wanted to give them a lick of paint just to tidy them up a little. They are mostly dry apart from the odd spot here or there. I don't mind if it's not 100%, just want to tidy it a little.

I was just going to spray watered down dulux or similar. Perhaps exterior paint after a good brushing down. Any other prep I should do?

    Thanks

Priming the wall 7 or 8 parts water to 1 part pva would be a good idea i think
