Pinterest -to Pin or not to Pin

I am thinking of signing up to Pinterest as I used to peruse the site at my leisure but now I notice that I have to sign up. I was wondering if it is possible to sign up and never pin anything? I just want to get ideas but don't want to bother with all that pinning. I've enough addictive activities at the moment and don't have the time for any more. I am a bit wary that it will be another thing that will steal my time.

I signed up last year. I did some pinning at that time but havent for almost a year. It sends me at least one email every week - sometimes more; inviting me to pin other boards similar to mine. I just delete these emails but really I'd prefer if I didn't get them- still its no big deal to receive them.

I signed up years ago, thought it was crap, went back to it recently and now my whole life is on it!

I really do find it great to organise image s, before that is have them in folders on my desktop.

Pinning is addictive tho! I don't know why you'd look around, see something you like and then never be able to find it again. Takes 2 seconds to pin something to a board. I have me future house planned, places I like to see etc

Yes, its the addictive bit that makes me nervous! Ah sure I'll give it a go. If I never post here again you'll know what happened to me. :D

Most of it is very American 'Mix a cup of Ranch dressing with a quart of Spackle' type stuff. But if you're looking for patterns, craft ideas, or DIY projects it's fantastic.

I never browse blogs but have ended up on a few after being led there with pins. For machine knitting I always used YouTube but now I have found loads of further information on blogs.

I'd be more interested in crafts, and cooking and baking but tend to avoid American recipes. According to Google, you wouldn't want to add Spackle to your Victoria Cake recipe! :D

Well, them Yanks be crazy, y'know :D

I find cup measurements great for liquids and stuff like flour or sugar, but not so good for veggies where how much you can fit in a cup depends on ho finely you chop it.
