Commuter Road Bike with rack mounts - Ideas?

    Hi all,

Having recently bought my first road bike (about 2 months ago) I really want to sell on my Trek hybrid for a road bike for commuting to work and college. I would need a pannier rack fitted so can only consider a bike with rack mounts as I would be putting a fairly substanstial amount of weight in my pannier bags.

Any recommendations? Want to spend between €500-800, or alternatively go second hand. What about these from wiggle?:

    Hi there
I got an Eastway ST1.0 last October. Added a rack, and changed the tyres to 35mm ones, and I am really happy with it.
Using it for commuting, and for getting out and about. Whilst it is heavy, it is no slouch at all.
Great price at the moment too.
