Just looked at dates I have been thinking of for Vegas and even with the discount I can get the same flights and hotel stay for over €100 cheaper by booking through expiedia/ebookers. Have found this quite often with Aer Lingus in that their own website is often the most expensive place to book flights with them.

That's often the case and is so for quite a few reasons. Travel agents can bargain for better fare codes and book through databases not available to Aer Lingus.

If you can always book with the airlines directly. If you need to change dates it is a hell of a lot cheaper. Expedia and ebookers charge for handling fees for any changes plus the fees Aer Lingus charges.

If it is not too much more I always book directly.

I priced flights to San Francisco for 2 people in October Return @ 1,455.18 On Aerlingus.com 2 weeks ago.

I booked this week for: 1,305.18 On Aerlingus.com

Ebookers are charging 1,235.72 (1 stop) 1,693.62 (direct with Aerlingus)
    Expedia 1,307.18 (direct with Aerlingus)

Oh btw got 15 days car rental with additional driver (standard with budget in California) for 263 including taxes. Compact 4 door ford focus. Use BCD code V816106 budget.com.

I've no need for a hotel at the moment.

Hey, do you know what that BCD code gives you? I'm looking at a week in Italy in September and it's giving me the same price with or without.

    Sorry for going off topic!

Yeah I'm aware of all that, it's just the difference in price is quite substantial in the case of Aer Lingus.

Having a look at flights to new york in January 2016, EI 105 leaves at 10:50 which is normal, But there is only a choice of the 17:30 leaving New york, Any idea are they discontinuing the later(20:30/21:00) flight?

Do Aer Lingus still apply a fuel surcharge for US flights?
