    Hey folks,
I hope some of you folks can help me.
Heading to Cuba in two weeks. Not sure how to manage the money. I don't want to bring too much cash, but I don't want to end up with visa/mastercards and no atm.

Do many places accept credit/debit cards and is there many atms?

    Pretty good summary here.

If you are using visa you will be fine. There aren't that many atms so you need to plan to have enough money when moving from place to place.

Mastercard only works in the cadeco. The queues can be quite long so bit of a pain

Im just back, my bank of ireland mastercard didnt work, lots of people I met couldnt use there cards. The actual connections lines we're down in the banks lots of times, another problem rather than cards not working. 3 people out of our group had serious problems and had to get cash transferred. make sure to let your bank know and it does seem to be a chance of luck if cards work or not. I took cash was very careful but i thought cuba was a fairly safe country
    have a ball
