Carphone should be car crash

    Just wondering is it just my bad luck but in the past two weeks I had the real bad luck of buying a mobile wi-fi from Carphone. The customer service then offered when they were wrong was only a joke. summary of events

    1. purchased a prepay wi-fi dongle with 25 euro credit on a saturday
    2. I went to use the dongle for the first time the following Wednesday... but I was unable to get any coverage...which I thought network was issue
    3. I brought the dongle into office in cork - where still no coverage
    4. I then called into Carphone in Mahon in cork..where I was told that the Dongle was ok, I just need to contact network provider
    5. Following contact with provider I was informed that Carphone cancelled the SIM on the Tuesday (without instruction as I as in Uk). To get wi fi working I only needed a new SIM
    6. when I returned to the Mahon shop, I was told I would need to pay 20 euro to buy credit to get a new SIM to replace the one they cancelled. when I asked why is their problem, now my problem the only answer I got was the system does not allow us issue SIM's
    7. After 45 minutes of dealing with network provider and management I eventually got a replacement SIM
    8. I then decided to raise this crap process to their customer care, where the only response was to get the manager of the Mahon store to call me.

    While in their I had a moment of madness and order Eircom phone & broadband... guess what they made a mess of the order and this evening I had to re-order from Eircom,,,delaying my fixed line broadband by 10 days
