Ok can someone who uses a smart watch please fill me in :) I really have no interest in one if you def require your phone with it all the time as I can just as easily take out the phone.

The only thing I'm interested in is there any smart watch that has a built in GPS that you could bring on it's own for say running, walking, etc and then sync to your phone at home to input your results for example?

Pretty sure the Sony Smartwatch 3 has built in gps, not sure about the others. It will track your runs/walks and sync when in range of the phone. You could also save music to it and use bluetooth headphones while out running.
