    Hi,
wondering does anyone know of a good app or website to help work out the claimable land area for my Dept application, my folio maps tell me the total acres but I need to mark out the roads, buildings etc. I ve been told that the conditions are much stricter this year and to be sure to have things correct.

    Cheers

I use this link, put it up for someone here before, but it didn't work for them as there area wasn't mapped. It's good if your area is on it, measures distance as well.

That doesn't seem to cover area, only distance. Find this one good.

Also maps.bing.com. You can measure and save areas under "My Maps" but you need to have/create an account to do this

If you are registered with agfood and look at your maps online, there is a measuring tool. I've been playing around with it but couldn't get anyone in dept or on here to explain how to amend and submit maps online. It doesn't make one bit of sense to me to be using online tools to calculate area and then submit a paper application!! I'm not blaming farmers. I'm blaming the system.

There should be no need for area apps. Departments mapping system to calculate payment is online if they'd only create a booklet to explain the commands to the ordinary joe soap. Arrrgggghhhhhh :(

Brother has built a house here since last years forms would have been filled out, does the mother need to change or do anything this year?

Ablur will it affect the value of payment?

far as I know it will because your land area will be goin down slightly.

Twil if youve been claiming all area in full and have an inspection. Better to deduct it and any other non eligible area this year as 2015 decides area on which value of entitlements claimed in 2014 will be paid for the next few years as Basic Payment Scheme.

Can it not be stacked or whatever you call it?

No stacking just remove ineligible area this year. Under the new BPS scheme the number of entitlements allocated on number of eligible Ha declared in either 2013 or 2015 whichever is the lesser. The value of these entitlements depends on value held in 2014 divided by eligibile Ha (2013 or 2014 area).

No apparently not but if it wasnt removed could be an issue in an inspection situation.
