I have been called for an interview with Irish rail. They had advertised jobs in Dublin, Drogheda and Porlaoise.

I am interested in the Portlaoise position.

The jobs are 3 year contract and salary based so no shift allowance or bank holiday allowance is offered.

They are not very forthcoming with details of shift patterns etc.

Different depots have different salaries, why would that be?

Has anyone else been called up/ sat an interview or work in Porlaoise?

    Laois Traincare Depot work a 0700-1900 & 1900 - 0700 shift patten.

The shift patten would start on days, say Monday Tuesday and then nights for Wednesday Thursday night and finish.

Two of the shift pattens have an extra day and night in them. Eg Fri Sat Sun day then Mon Tues night and Wed Thurs day then Fri Sat Sun night.

Drogheda work an 0800 - 2000 and 2000 - 0800 but im not sure of the shift rotations.

    W

P.s. Good luck in the interviews.
