Btw, it cannae be limited to 2000 uses. The circulation of the sindo is 100000+
Looks like it will work right through until 03/05

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,432 ✭✭✭StaticNoise

2,000 is the limit. It creates hype and usage:

"9. In the event of 2,000 redemptions made per Discount Voucher Code, the Discount Voucher Code will automatically expire regardless of the expiry date."

    More worryingly (kidding...)

"In particular, Vouchers distributed or circulated without our written approval, for example on an Internet message board or on a “bargains” website, are not valid for use and may be refused or cancelled."

Of that 100,000 who would be tech savvy enough to use the internet to order food?

Generally speaking, anybody tech savvy enough wouldn't be buying a newspaper in this day and age.

Smacks of some lad in the JustEat Marketing Dept. not knowing their target market or they've too much money to spend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,432 ✭✭✭StaticNoise

    That's exactly it. I don't buy it.

HOWEVER, I don't think that it will last the full term of discount. Think about it: most people would have already got a Sunday roast going, and wouldn't consider takeaway. Biggest nights are Friday and Saturday. If it was 2000, it is later in the week when it expires. It'll be OK to use for a day or so.

Justeat.ie have 5000 orders per day!
It makes no sense to limit the code if only every buyer(not ~938k readers) of the Sindo was to use it.
Justeat.ie had more than 750k active site users in Ireland in 2014, and processed more than 150k orders per month in Ireland. http://www.irishtimes.com/business/agribusiness-and-food/just-eat-revenues-climb-by-62-to-157m-1.2142709

Cheers OP. Thought I'd missed the boat on it with all the talk of it being limited to 2k customers but worked for me just now.

Worked for me also, got a desert for after dinner. Just a note, I had to spend over the voucher amount in order to process the order.

They complained about a just-eat thread here a few years ago and got the code removed.

Anytime you see a just-eat code posted here (and you don't use it immediately), write it down just in case they do the same again.

In fairness, I don't know the details, but if it's the case that Boards removed it, that's awful. This site is getting so commercial and afraid of any grey areas.

The resturant gets paid in full by just eat. Just eat Gets paid by you less the discount and then reimburse the resturant the full amout of order.

So its just eat that take the hit that why the discount can only work when paid online
