Got a letter to say I may have a leak. Irish water will be out to check shortly.

If I do have a leak, how do I fix it? Will there be major disruption to my house? I have underfloor heating......

If its in the house it could be something as simple as a passing ballcock. Easily fixed. Outside the house and its Irish Water's responsibility.

Nope. They have a first fix free policy where if the leak is on the external supply pipe they will fix it for free, providing you have a working internal stopcock.

I know the guy that is doing the tracing of leaks for Irish water in Dublin area. According to him their responsibility is to trace the pipe from the meter as far as the front wall of the house. If the leak is in that area then Irish water will mole a new pipe from the meter to the front house wall. They won't go down the side of the house for feeds that enter through the back

I'm a terraced house - I'm worried that the leak will be within my property

I wouldn't be a fan of back entry either. :)
