Renting in Ashtown - Information on area required

    Anyone experience of renting/living in this area? a lot of the apartments on daft look quite nice and just about affordable compared to what you'd pay in or around the city, I've read some old threads where people are saying you can't get UPC tv in the area which would be a serious game changer for me.. is this still the case?

    what is the standard of the apartments, security and commuting from there into the city and back again at peak hours. any other catches?

    I'm talking anywhere in or around the Ashtown train station for arguments sake.

    would appreciate any comments

    Not sure about UPC but the train is pretty good into town, Pubs around are fine and the shops are pretty good. Phoenix park so close also adds to the area. Overall a pretty good area to live in.

    Think thats still the case with upc, other thsn that it's lovely

    I live right by the roundabout and have UPC. I drive to the city center and have been surprised that traffic is actually quite fluid.

    thanks folks. saw an absolute beat of an apartment yesterday, landlord said he used to have upc so happy with that.. glad to hear traffic isn't too much of a nightmare, think i'd accept a bit more traffic in the mornin for livin in such a nice apartment and area, it really ticks all boxes.. keepin my fingers crossed
