Does anyone know if entering an incorrect expiry date for your passport when checking in online will cause any problems? The expiry date is a few years away and the correct day and year are shown, but the wrong month.

I doubt it very much. they mainly look at the picture when you're boarding.

I once out my D.O.B. as the expiry date and it didn't get noticed. :)

    Thanks Valetta

The passport expiry date doesn't actually appear on the boarding card. I was just concerned that the information might be checked against some database and cause a flag to be raised. From what you're telling me, it doesn't seem likely that this will happen.

I did something similar last time I was flying with them. Never had any issues. I'd say you'll be grand op.

Thanks. I was afraid to contact them for fear they might impose some kind of charge for changing it. As I'm not going to Spain, is it OK to just let it be?

They won't impose a charge. They changed Italy to Ireland for me as country of birth

i once booked a flight, and used my girlfriends Surname by mistake, (was booking 8 different flights and got confused) I didnt notice until I was in the queue for the flight, decided to take my chances, but they never noticed.

on another flight, I was checking in a friend, and asked her for for her passport details and DOB etc, after 3 or 4 texts asking her for ALL the details i needed, and still not getting them i just made up the rest.

You could always contact them on twitter and ask the question generally. Don't give them any flight details just in case :p.

If travelling to Spain it could feed their API system?
