    Folks.

Do any of you use insoles in your football boots? Grounds getting hard, so i need them.

In the past i got blisters on my heel and toe irritation because it raised my foot in the boot. But I'm sure they have improved?

Any particular brand/ model over another?

Have any of you ever invested in custom orthotic insoles? Can only imagine county players have them? Anyone know where they are getting them?

    Any advice/ recommendations greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

P.S. Do any brand of boots actually come with them fitted nowadays?

I get mine in elverys footbalance custom fitted. Theyre about 20 quid as far as I remember. Last about a year. They're good if you need arch support. The ones I get don't provide cushioning.

If its cushioning your after without arch support you can get gel insoles in elverys.

Intercounty players get the team Physio to custom fit their insoles.

Ask your Physio to do a custom fit for your boots. I'd imagine they are 2-300 euro though - at least they were this price when I got mine about ten years ago.

Edit: use liberal amount Vaseline at the heel and toe area of boot to avoid blistering when breaking in new boots/ insoles
