Yes, if the sire was registered at birth and you are a member of ICBF herdplus, the sire will show up on ICBF website.

Are you with icbf, on the basic herd profile it should show the sires of all animals in your herd hopefully.

HOLY GOD! Does anyone use lads like this? I don't think I could sleep if my father started using a bull like that at home! 23.8% calving difficulty with 97% reliability! Presume nobody wants him and that's why he's cheap?? No use calving elephants!

That'd be about my cut off point. Use ERE on a few cows every year, he's now 18.3% at 98% reliability.

The words that a lot of people tend to skip over there is 'Mature cows only' :D

I suppose if it's purely for terminal you are looking you might aswell go big! We've been trying to keep alot of heifers as replacements the last few years so trying to balance maternal and terminal traits! That said the father is still the man in charge and he is a little suspicious of the eurostars still! :)

Suckler here, so to make money we either go hard or go home. I've been picking the bulls for the last six or seven years and we've managed replacements well so far, six or seven good calves off BB/LM/CH and then look for a replacement using a maternal LM/CH. Chances are that she'll have a decent bull anyway off the maternal sire if she's been kept for that long here. And if the cow has a decent heifer off a non maternal bull, I'd weight up the cows milk and see how much she'd bring to the heifer before deciding what to do. As it stands this year, we've our replacements already picked as cows both calved down heifers on their first go to maternal bulls. Both cows are 8 yrs old so they've proven themselves as excellent breeders.

He won't be there if people didn't buy him. Pedigree breeders who knows how their minds work...
