PC game modders/Hobby developers in Cork

(Dearest mods - since I'm inquiring about people in Cork, am I in the right forum?)

Hey, just wondering if there are any people in Cork city interested in creating mods for PC games or even building simple games from scratch?

I know there is at least 1 game design course in the city so there ought to be some people of this description haunting the forum.

Just doing some early, early research to see would it make sense to put together a sort of hobbyist group that meets up every now and then to work on little projects.

May be interesting for people interested in getting into game development, as I've seen mods held up as a good example of what to submit when applying for a job in the industry.


Currently playing Divinity: Original Sin (by Larian, who have a studio in Dublin) and it has a pretty neat editor.

Totally forgot about them. Went to UCC back in the day but never made it to NetSoc meeting. Perhaps in September I'll get in touch with them.
