    Hi,

I am going in to work in caring industry. I had interview last week. I have to get the garda vetting done. I have been to court twice. Both for drunk and disorderly. I got a fine for both occasions.

I am just worried now that every job interview I go for I will have to fill out the form and give it to the employer before the garda. I thought that it would be me giving it to the guards and that the emplyer would never see the form I fill out. They will see these offenses..

Would I get away with not putting these offenses down on the form? They are two drunk and disorderly charges nothing more.. Or maybe there might be a better phrase I could put in that doesnt sound as bad as drunk and disorderly?

    Thanks

No. You won't 'get away with it'. Any convictions recorded against your name will be disclosed by the vetting office In the letter which will be sent to the organisation that applies on your behalf. It's up to your employer to decide if they're relevant or not. Best just to be honest from the start.
