If you were a fan of breaking bad, its definitely worth sticking with. Aside from Saul, it really tells mike's story well. 3 episodes isn't enough to get into a series.

There are mini-storylines which run across several episodes, so if you're not interested in one of the threads, stick with it since Mike's story is very interesting and things get more dramatic later on, e.g. Ep 9.

Mike's deadpan is one of the best features of this show.

I could not warm to it at all. Its well made well acted but after watching season 1 I could easily walk away from it without any curiosity of what happens next. Perhaps it's because we know what is going to happen next more or less.

    - I understand your point but I'll probably watch series 2. Some of the best Breaking Bad was in the later series.

It's a slow burner. I hope series 2 is better.

I've watched all of breaking bad and to be honest I think 'better call Saul' is better so far. Absolutely loved every second and was sad to watch the last episode knowing I would have to wait a long time for the next season. It's a lot less in your face than breaking bad, a lot more subtle but I prefer it overall. Saul/Jimmy is a more likable character than any of the breaking bad main protagonists. Recommend 100%.

Just finished the 1st season and I really enjoyed it. I think it holds it own as a series without the breaking bad factor. Looking forward to seeing more.

I just finished this on Netflix and I thought it was great. A really good show.

It's well made but ultimately a take it or leave it kind of thing. The whole brother with EM sensitivity grated after a while.

Bob Odenkirk is great in everything. The show is decent but, were it not for th BB connection, wouldn't have gotten a series.
