My contract up for renewal and getting a great deal on these phones. The note has a 1440P screen and a good spec, and its a 2.7 quad core whilce the m9 is a octacore.

Thinking the note 4 is a better but the octacore is looring me the other way. Both have 3Gb of ram and I have shovele of hands. Yes man take thing is the octa versus quad but has lower clcok speeds.

The touchwiz interface on the Samsung will eventually make it laggy. I'd go for the HTC, which is a more premium device.

Just be aware that from what I've read, the Note 4 camera blows the M9 one out of the water. I've used both HTC and Samsung before I moved to back to Apple, and if I had to choose between these two phones I'd be very conflicted. Touchwiz was a pain for me, HTC do a way better skin, imo. So in that sense I'd put the M9 ahead in terms of being nicer to use. But a huge consideration for me is camera quality, and it looks like HTC has dropped the ball with the M9. I'd be torn if I had to choose, but if it came to it I'd probably go with the Note just for the camera, and then root it to clean up the software.

You can get the octacore note 4 if that's your fancy.

I'm in the same boat soon. I currently have the m7 and I had a play with the m9 and it really is just a faster version of my current phone which is no bad thing but I'll probably go for the note 4 at the moment

They are both great phones I wouldnt let Octo vs Quad core be the deciding factor as isnt as simple as that.

Depends on how you feel about the diffrent sizes ?

How important is Camera, Sound, Screen, Gaming and the differing android skins?
