I am not sure this is the best place to post, but I guess Art/films:D:D:D

A friend has to do an essay on "otherness in european cinema "

He has already selected "Vivre Sa Vie/ My life to Lead" and "4months, 3 weeks and 2 days" but needs a third one

We looked at "Cleo from 5 to 7" but struggling to get enough to analyses so its enough to match the other films

IF any one has any suggestions it would be great

Right now the focus is on female otherness - essentially that women are passive, even invisible in film, patriarchal society and all that

However if there is a film that does --- erm -- lots of cinematic stuff - the essay can be turned around to something like " cinema effects / narration that demonstrates otherness ( in general)

    Any suggestion would be great

Try Antonioni - any one from L'Avventura, La Notte, or L'eclisse. Perfect choices there for your friend's topic.
