Tyre coming apart

Looking for some advice. Two weeks ago I upgraded from Conti GP4000s II 23mm to 25mm.

On my second spin I get a puncture, replace tube. Fourth spin, puncture, replace tube. Out again this morning... Punctured, set about replacing tube only to realise that the bead of the tyre is now coming apart and it won't affix to the rim again.

So... These are expensive tyres, and I'm wondering whether I've any grounds to be going back to the shop I bought these in and looking for a replacement or am I going to end up in an argument as to whether I damaged it when changing?

    Have I a case?

Deffo bring them back. It sounds like you got a defective tyre.

These things happen and I'm sure your LBS keeper will be understandable.
