Quick question lads, I bought a sucky calf a few days back for a cow that lost a calf but she wouldn't take and I sold her to the uncle to double suck a cow he has. Calf is under 6 weeks, will it need to be tested in our herd or can I just shift her over to his straight away?

Once the calf is under 42 days of age, it can be moved between herds without needing to be tested.

yep - under 42 days and your grand - just make sure calf was BVD tested

So just to clarify there's no problem having 2 movements under 42 days?

Yes as long as the seller and recipient herds are not restricted and the movements are applied for within the 42 day regulation.
With regards BVD status, if a calf has tested positive for BVD then it will not be issued with a movement permit.

What is the email address for the cattle movements? Do you just take a picture of the form filled out and send that to them by email? Thanks
