I really need to stop buying so much dry clean only mens pants.

Can anyone recomment a reasonably priced machine washable alternative?

    I've two options for you

    1. Marks and Spensers machine washable trousers with Supercrease. I have a pair and they hold there own against my dry clean only trousers.

    2. If you have a steam cleaner, buy a clothes wand (or buy a steam cleaner).
I have found these to be a God-send. As long as the trousers aren't actually dirty, (and can't be spot-cleaned if they are), I just steam clean them. It freshens them up perfectly, kills any lingering bacteria, and costs nothing. I can't remember the last time I went to the dry cleaners. I use this on all my suits and dry clean trousers. I have a Karcher Steam cleaner and bought the clothes wand attachment for about €20

It's especially handy for suits (e.g. Black Tie) that I use only a few times a year (especially dancing where it can get a bit sweaty). I just steam clean them the following day, hang them out to air/dry, and put them away for the next time. It's a lot more gentle than dry cleaning as well.
