Disability Allowance

I've just been told by the Adult Education and guidance services that I should apply for disability allowance but I think she doesnt know what the hell she is talking about.

Going for an assessment for ADHD in a couple of weeks and have had problems with anxiety and depression.
She seems to think that I would be entitled to it but I think there is no way since in the DSP's eyes I am still capable of working.
My issue is that I really struggle to keep work, be on time, manage time, get along with colleagues and then suffer form debilitating anxiety on top of it. I just cant function like a normal person in a job.

Does anyone else have these issues of have any input?

Also I'm co-habitating and through the means test my boyfriends income will go over the allowed amount which means I will not be entitled to a single penny.

So I expected to live off his wages?? That doesnt seem fair on him. Theres support and then theres just living off someone elses wages.

No idea what to do now. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

There is a possibility you would be entitled to it depending on your condition based off what your gp says .
Disability is one of the hardest payments to get you could literally be looking at a 6 -12 month wait on a discision and at that you could be refused at the first attempt.

Unfortunately there's not a lot you can do about the cohabiting and means testing.

Your first port of call should be your gp for a chat and see what he/ she recommends.
