Collecting payments with out of date passport?

    Hi everyone, just a quick question, my other half is getting job seekers for the last few months and collects in the post office using his passport for Id, it is due to go out of date in May, can he still use it to collect payments?
    And also when it comes to renewing it he would have to send his old passport back with it, he doesn't have any other photo id, so if he applied in the mean time for a Garda Id would that be acceptable to collect payments?

    Your OH can get a temporary yellow /green id from the social welfare just explain the passport suitation

    Hi my daughter used her Garda id so that should be okay.
