Insuring a crewcab

    I want to buy a crewcab pickup so have decided on which model, today after ringing around a few including my own insurers i cannot thus far get a quote. One reason given was i was not a tradesperson....another was it is a commerical vehicle we don't do em..... i informed each company that i will be taxing and insuring privately and they all said same thing well we cant insure you ...sorry... one company did say try axa and after eleventeen attempts and no answer i couldn't be bothered... will try again tomorrow. Anyone similar experience and how did you manage

    Never had a problem with my crewcab, i use insuremyvan.ie but just got a cheaper quote with liberty online

    i do not have a business doctorchopper and on insuremyvan part of step1 for getting quote is to fill in trading name... like i say i just want to use it privately... throwing bikes, camping gear, dogs in back and carry kids about too

    I dont have a buisness either, but called them and didnt use the online quote system for insuremyvan, online quote qith liberty worked
