    [font=Arial, sans-serif]Friday 1[/font][font=Arial, sans-serif]st [/font][font=Arial, sans-serif]May 2015 is a Bank Holiday in many Euro currency/EU countries [/font][font=Arial, sans-serif]and, the Euro payments clearing and settlement system will be closed.[/font]


    [font=Arial, sans-serif]This means that all Euro electronic payments (both credit transfers and direct debits) due to be processed on Friday 1st May will not be credited to/debited from accounts.[/font]


    [font=Arial, sans-serif]Although Irish banks are open for business on 1st May, it is not possible to exchange payments with other banks, given that there is no Euro payment clearing system available on this day.[/font]
