a wedding, a big party, welcoming home relatives, communions, anything that requires going all out in anticipation. do you enjoy the fuss and circumstance that goes into all these occasions??? are you a fusspot or are you the relaxed laid back '' ah sure its only one day'' type???

I remember hating being paraded up and down the hall in front of my parents in my confirmation outfit a few days before to see how it looked and if the shoes fit like a reject model, being frogmarched to the barbers and hair gel being swiftly wrestled onto my head though I just barely mumbled in agreement to it. I always hated hair gel.

I dunno, I always viewed these kinda things as a chore and hate all the fussing and sweat and blood that goes into them, how quickly people get stressed, fall out with people and lose their temper over what is often just one day.

Christmas is the only time of the year that I enjoy the fuss of. Only 256 days to go!

Nah I hate fuss, anything that brings attention on me, even positive attention I hate, I'd rather walk into a room and be ignored if there's more than a handful of people.

Introverts do not like fuss. I am one of them. Don't like big crowds where you have to do "small talk" with those you don't know very well either.

Weddings are a particular chore. Although I am delighted for the B and G, I do not like being put at a table where I don't know the people there very well. Small talk is exhausting for me.

Anyway, to answer OP. No I prefer small groups that I know well. Do not like big events.

    We are all different.

Far too much fuss on this thread...

Really hate it. Dunno when it started but don't remember it bothering me as a kid, now how uncomfortable it makes me is almost unbearable. In recent times I have almost ducked out of attending my graduation and a launch of a report I was involved in because of the attention involved.

    Hate it.

All a show. Pretence. Pressure. Etc.

Nope, hate it. Never really had birthday parties over the age of 10ish for that reason. The idea of having a wedding (even a small one!) sounds horrible to me, mainly because of the fuss!

I am neither a "fuss lover" or a "ah sure its only one day, relax" kind of person. I am an Organizing Nazi. And the less fuss, the easier things are to organize. Being the most patient man in Ireland also helps.

Absolutely detest all that ****e and especially anything that involves going to a freaking church so weddings, communions, confirmations, baptisms and especially funerals (only because someone I know has died)

Hated all above as a child/teenager and still do as an adult.

    Fuss is a negative word
    Occasion would be more positive
