    5-6 months no problem, don't need to keep seperate from heifers then

    I have always done mine at around 8 months. Allow 6 weeks though before mixing with cows or heifers. Takes that for him to flush through.

    I usually do them around 10 - 12 months old, The lad I have at the moment is a Jersey cross, working very well and they don't grow into huge animals.

    Yep and aggressive little bastadrs too.always hol here do op around 12/13 months old.put ring on nose and a bit of chain when letting them off.
