Yesterday I noticed the picture and spund had disappeared from my kitchen TV. So I retuned the TV and I have all the stations apart from Rte one? I took the TV from the sitting room and plugged it into the Kitchen and Rte one is working fine. Has anyone any idea what may be the issue?

Check your aerial connection is in tight and the cable is not damaged, seems to be an issue with that TV if the other one is working in the same room

Can you scan individual channel numbers / frequencies on it? RTE One is on the Mux (Multiplex) 2 of your local transmitter. Where I am that is Channel 56, 754 mHz coming from Clermont Carn. It also carries RTE One + 1 and UTV Ireland. RTE Two, TG4 etc are on Mux 1 Channel 52.

I had the same problem on a walker tv.I solved it by scanning the option of "Digital aerial and anolouge" rather that the option of just "Digital aerial"

Doing an analogue scan isn't going to sort the OP problem. If it got you any extra channels, it must be because you have a Sky box RF feed in your system or, you're actually connected to UPC analogue, not Saorview.

As already hinted at above, OP problem is almost certainly poor signal for mux. 2, & they will also be missing RTE1 +1, RTE jr., & UTV Ireland.

What I said is 100% correct and I did not suggest doing an analouge scan.

How does 'digital aerial & analogue' differ from just 'digital aerial', then?

You would have to ask Walker TV people that question as both options are in their menu>

I would assume each scan type does 'exactly what it says on the tin'.

Just seems odd that you could be missing Saorview RTE1 &, a digital + analogue scan finds it, where digital-only failed. Did this scan find any other channels?

Digital Scan found all except RTE1.D&A scan included RTE1.Can't explain but that is the situation,

    D & A must have added RTE1 +1, RTE jr., & UTV Ireland too?
