    Dear Sir/Madam.

I came across an advertisement for a retail sales consultant and I am very interested in working with your organization. I have enclosed a copy of my current CV for you to review.

For the year of 2014, i worked in "Company" as a sales assistant, on a part time basis. While working in this role, I was fortunate to enhance my communication skills as well as my customer assistant skills, as I was responsible for the working with incoming customers during the day,as well as handling the cash registers.

My skills include operating the tills, dealing with customer who have query's/issues and i have very good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access. I love everything technology related, and i always try to stay as up to date as i can, weather its knowing what new products are about to hit the market, or problems that products have that might effect usage. I am always willing to learn any necessary skills that will be needed in order to be ready for employment in your company.

In my reviewing of your organization’s objectives and goals, I believe that my willingness to learn and achieve would fit the needs of what you are looking for. I am also confident that your organization can help me to enhance my performance levels. I would be very interested in speaking with you to discuss my CV and potential employment further and look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards

The cover letter needs to be improved in terms of spelling and grammar. Capital "I" to refer to yourself. "Whether" instead of "weather". "queries" instead of "query's". Close the opening brackets after all the Microsoft products. You've got the boss thinking about words and paragraphs and no closing bracket.
That's based on a rapid glance across the covering letter - not a deep analysis. They just jump out at you.

    All the best.

Also the covering letter reads as if you were just lucky in several respects rather than you having control of the situation and actively seeking ways to develop your skills
Eg you say "I came across...[the job ad ]" and "I was fortunate to...[develop skills ]"
You need to say how you made these things happen

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback, I have updated it, a small bit. Could you all let me know what you think ?
    Thanks :)

    Dear Sir/Madam.

I came across an advertisement for a sales associate on the jobs section of the "JOB WEBSITE" and I’m very interested in working with Sketchers. I have enclosed a copy of my current CV for you to review. I’m available for full-time or part-time employment from May 15th to mid-September, and after that I would only be available for part-time work.

I have one year work experience in "HARDWARE SHOP". While working in this role, I was able to enhance my communication skills and my customer assistant, this was done by communicating daily with the customers by answering any queries that they would have had. I was responsible for keeping the stock level in order, so that there was always a sufficient level of stock available for the customers. I was also required to operate the till by carrying out transaction, accepting payment through different methods such as cash and cards, and providing the correct change to the customers.

My skills include operating the tills, dealing with customer who have queries or issues and I have good excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, graphic software) I’m always willing to learn any necessary skills that will be needed in order to be ready for employment in your company.

In my reviewing your organizations objectives and goals, as set out in the job description, I believe that my willingness to learn and achieve would fit the needs of what you are looking for. I’m also confident that your organization can help me to enhance my performance levels. I would be very interested in speaking with you to discuss my CV and potential employment further and look forward to hearing from you soon.
