    Hello,

I'm sorry if this has already been queried.
I am 29 and my boyfriend has just turned 36 and we are hoping to make the move to Canada.
Can anyone please advise what the possible options are for a 36 year old looking to live and work in Canada are?

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the link but when I complete the questionnaire it advises me (my boyfriend) to apply for the IEC but further on it says that the eligibility is for up to 35 years only. Hence more confusion.

There are many ways to move to Canada but it essentially boils down to does your boyfriend have a skill/trade that's in demand in Canada and can he find an employer willing to sponsor him.

Have either of you been to Canada for any length of time before? Yes, there is plenty of work and the money is good - BUT - The cost of living is high. Don't expect to go and save enough to come home and buy a house! The Visas are offered via a lottery system and are usually gone in minutes. Depending on what part you go to, the climate can be harsh in Winter.

Express Entry? I am 37, mulling this over, but don't think I'll be able to get proof at this stage of jobs I had in the late 90s, early 00s

It's difficult to get EE without previous Canadian work experience, seriously in demand skills (tradesmen and such) or a LMIA approved job offer. When you did the calculator did it tell you to apply?

Maybe not so easy if he doesn't have an occupation/trade that's in demand here. Good luck though.

    Orange pilled.
