Challenge: help me recreate a sound

I came across this brilliant fx sound in the linked (utterly amazing) track. You can first hear it at 02:49. I've been unsuccessfully trying to recreate it at home one NI Massive and I wanted to see if anyone here could help?

What I'm thinking is that it's a sine wave or something similar, perhaps more than one voice. There's a very fast LFO on the filter and a slow LFO on the pitch. All of my attempts have been pretty pathetic so far so I'm curious to know how it's done.

    Any takers?

Did you use a sample for the sound or was it an instrument? It sounds like you've done a sample with some delay, filtered it a little and added some compression?

I'll give it a shot myself over the next day or so just to show what I managed.

No it's an instrument. A basic patch in Dune with three oscillators, 1 sin and two saw. In the mod matrix I linked an LFO to the volume and one the the Filter key tracking along with a few other modulations. See screen shot below.
I automated a filter sweep across the note taking out lower frequencies and enhancing higher end toward the end of the note. I also have a reverb, Rop Papen Distortion and a phaser in the chain as well.

EDIT Ignore the fact that the FX are muted in the screenshot. I had em turned off for A/Bing the original sound when I took the screengrab
