Woodies currently have these on sale 10 lengths for €32
    http://www.woodiesdiy.com/mobile/product/cls-white-wood/22627/11

B&Q currently stock the same at €4.15 per length but with their price promise show them the woodies web page and you can get them at €2.80 per length (price match and 10% discount)

Thats a good price in fairness. Not often seen on timber with either of those retailers.

That is still a total rip off, any building merchants will beat them prices hands down.

I was talking to a friend who buys direct from a saw mill who the general public can also buy from and he can buy 10 16ft lengths for €24.

Mcmahons builders provider sells 16 foot lengths for €2.80, I use it every year for kindling

What good is a 2.4metre piece of timber unless you are building doll houses.

Thanks guys while I thought this was cheap I was mistaken, I just needed a bit of timber to build bay window seat and this was ideal for frame but good to know about Mcmahons as they are only down the road so looks like I can save more in the future.
