CaseIH 4230 Lights

I have a 1996 Case 4230 and the lights stopped working a good while back. I've checked (and replaced where needed) all fuses, bulbs, fittings and switches. I've managed to get the front main and dims working plus right/left indicators front and back. I can't get the front or back top lights or the tail/brake lights going? I'm wondering if the relay is gone faulty but not sure which is the one for the lights - there is a bank of 6 relays behind the dashboard? Tractor hasn't being abused to be fair and all wiring looms seem in fine order.
There is one fuse position (15amp for Cigarette lighter/Horn) which is continuously blowing - obviously shorting somewhere but god knows where. I've removed it altogether but this shouldn't affect lights I thought ?

Would appreciate any assistance from anybody with any ideas.

Get yourself a test light or multimeter and try diagnosing what is wrong. Failing that get a auto spark.

Wire shorting somewhere I'd imagine, probably buried somewhere in the loom. It's made a bit painier by not blowing the fuse right away - i.e the fault is somewhat intermittent, so may be caused as the tractor bumps and bounces and the loom flexes. Personally, I'd use a signal generator to find the wire going off the fuse that's blowing if it isn't obvious, and follow it back/thread in a replacement(if you solder a wire on at the end and then draw it through by pulling out the old wire, that can be a handy way) and solder it in at both ends.
