Twitter Excel Report formatting Question

    Hello all,

When I run an Excel report for, say, a month, all the data seems to be contained in one cell when I open the CSV file.

For example, cell A1 would have "Tweet id,"Tweet permalink","Tweet text","time","impressions","engagements", etc....."

All the results would be contained in the one cell, rather than a separate figure in each cell, reading right to left, if you get me.

Is there a way of fixing this through formatting? It would save a lot of time, and make analysis a lot easier... :)

How do you actually create this report?
    Twitter tools or something else?

It sounds like whatever you're using s not saving it properly tab or comma separated.

Is A1 exactly like that, with the commas between each item? If so, your report is giving you a CSV - comma separated values, which is easy to take care of.

Highlight all of column A, then go to the Data tab at the top of your screen. From there select "Text to columns". Select "Delimited", click Next. Untick all the options, then tick the box for Comma. You can hit "Finish" at that point.
