Company vs recruiter

I recently saw a job that I was interested in on an ad from a recruitment agency. I thought about it and was going about the rest of my search when I saw the same ad from a company. The description of the job on the company's website sounds better oddly enough. But it got me thinking, which would be better to apply through? I'm wondering are there any reasons to go to one over the other?

Apply to the company directly. It sounds like the recruitment firm "scraped" the ad with the idea of approaching the company with any candidates that apply to them.
